The after effects of Katrina on New Orleans residents, especially those who lived in less affluent areas, are only now starting to get resolved. It's a sad commentary that 2 and 3 years later, many of the former residents were being kicked out of their government trailers while the funds that were supposed to aid in rebuilding were misappropriated and spent on anything OTHER than rebuilding. The effects on individuals and individual families were devastating.
